About the Vermont Swim Association
The Vermont Swim Association was founded in 1990 by a group of Vermonters who were concerned with the advancement of swimming in Vermont.
Starting in 1990, the VSA has sponsored a summer championship meet which has served over 30 teams and ten thousand swimmers. During this time we have lost two of the founding leaders of this organization and they are remembered in the championship trophies, the Al Cummings Large Team Championship Trophy and the Nancy Leake Small Team Championship Trophy.
In their spirit we have carried on and the VSA has expanded to include ongoing educational program for swimmers, coaches and officials. These and other programs help reflect the success of the vision of the founders.
